Calf housing

The housing of young calves that still drink milk requires special attention. You can house these calves outside in huts (‘Cold Housing’) or inside in insulators (‘Warm Housing’). What you choose depends on your situation and your personal preference.

In order to manage young calves properly the calf housing facility needs to provide a Kitchen facility for the preparation and storage of the milk/milk powder and a Cleaning/Disinfection  facility.

We can consult you on what would be the most economical solution for your situation and provide you with the management protocols that will make the calf housing (‘Cold’ or ‘Warm’) a successful integrated part of your dairy farm.

If you are interested to find out more on this subject, don’t hesitate to contact us or leave your contact details and we will contact you.
